Founder & Executive Director
Sitabile Dewa is the Executive Director and Founder of WALPE. She is a women’s rights and peace building practitioner with over a decade experience working tertiary students and rural women leaders. She is passionate about women empowerment, political and economic inclusion of women
Training & Research Officer
Batanayi Colletta Mapinde-Gwangwawa is a women and development expert, with over ten years’ experience both local and regional in implementing programmes which incorporate and embraces the leadership role of women. She has worked for the German Development Cooperation, ADC/WELLFIELD, Concern Worldwide, ZAMFI among others.
Training, Monitoring and Evaluation officer
Nomalanga Sipapate is a seasoned women’s rights and peace building activist. She worked for Heal Zimbabwe Trust for six years as the Community outreach and gender officer. She has vast knowledge in project and programme planning, organizing, coordinating implementation and management of outreach initiatives
Gender and Recruitment Officer
Varaidzo is a young woman passionate about development. She graduated with an Honors Degree in Peace and Governance at Bindura University of
science Education. She also possesses vast knowledge in monitoring and evaluation.
Consultant- Research and Knowledge Management
Pride Mkono has a demonstrable and rich eight years’ experience working in the non-profit sector, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) with the University of South Africa. Pride has worked with Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) where he coordinated a successful empirical based lobby and advocacy campaign for safe schools as a programmes officer responsible for communication and research
Finance and Administration Officer
She is a young woman who is passionate about reducing the gender gap and mobilises women to take on leadership positions in the political arena, work hierarchy and in the institutional structures. She is also passionate about contributing to a conducive environment where women rise to top leadership positions. She holds a bachelor of science honors Degree in Accountancy.
VolunteerPatience Chido Mutakaya is a young woman dedicated to helping create a Zimbabwe that
respects the rights of different diverse groups, a Zimbabwe were gender issues are not a
hindrance to one’s political passion. She graduated with an honors degree in peace and
governance at Bindura University of Science Education.
